Partnerships Manager - Referring Providers & Payors
Headstart Health is a company providing a business-in-a-box solution for autism care providers. They are seeking a Partnerships Manager to build and manage relationships with clinical and payor stakeholders, improve partnership strategies, and coordinate outreach efforts to enhance client access to ABA services.
Responsibilities
Help identify the most promising referral sources in key markets
Execute a multichannel outreach effort including call, voicemail, email, fax touchpoints to start develop relationships with referral partners
Build trust-based relationships and become a reliable “go-to” partner for referrals
Design and execute multi-channel referral marketing campaigns (Email, Fax, Visits, Events, etc.)
Coordinate site visits, lunches/learns, drop-ins, and local events to deepen partnerships
Develop and iterate collateral and messaging (one-pagers, referral guides, “how to refer” workflows, intake/eligibility sheets)
Track what works and continuously improve campaign performance and conversion
Establish the structure for a scalable partnerships function: territories, account tiers, call points, cadences, SLAs, and KPIs
Build playbooks: outreach scripts, talk tracks, objection handling, meeting agendas, follow-up sequences, and referral onboarding steps
Hire, onboard, and manage future Partnership Reps / SDRs / Field Marketers as volume grows
Coach to performance and build a culture of high-quality activity and relationship-first execution
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in developing clinical referral relationships, payor partnerships, or similar
Previous experience planning, developing, and executing digital and physical marketing campaigns
Deep familiarity with the end-to-end client referral process (identifying referral sources, establishing contact, communicating value proposition, etc.)
Meaningful experience building and/or managing outreach teams in prior roles
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask/prioritize effectively
Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and seek opportunities for process improvement
Preferred
2+ years of experience in ABA or Behavioral Health
Previous experience building a clinical client referral function at an early-stage healthtech startup
2+ years of previous experience in a fast-growing, early-stage healthtech startup (Seed - Series C)
