Responsibilities
Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or office location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving calls for assistance, assessing conditions, and communicating updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, issuing temporary badges as directed by site policy, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs
Complete timely written reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and support site procedures for alarms, deliveries, and after-hours access
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 1 or more years of security-related experience is required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
