Responsibilities

Define and advance the global sanctions compliance strategy to align with enterprise risk appetite and regulatory obligations
Develop, implement, and enhance sanctions policies, procedures, and control frameworks across products, services, and regions
Oversee the design, testing, and continuous improvement of sanctions screening systems, customer and transaction screening, analytics, and risk modeling
Lead enterprise‑wide sanctions risk assessments and ensure remediation and mitigation strategies are applied by business partners
Manage and develop a team of sanctions compliance professionals, including hiring, performance management, and career development
Allocate resources and set priorities for the sanctions program, including vendor oversight and technology investments
Present sanctions compliance metrics, risk insights, and program updates to senior leadership, board committees, auditors, and regulators
Act as the primary liaison with regulators and external stakeholders on sanctions and export control matters and oversee enterprise training and awareness programs

Required

10+ years in financial crimes or sanctions compliance within financial services, fintech, or a multinational corporation
Experience in global sanctions regimes (OFAC, HM Treasury, EU, UN) and export controls
Experience in sanctions screening technologies, analytics, and risk modeling
Experience leading cross‑functional/global teams and influencing executive stakeholders
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Preferred

Advanced degree (Master's, JD, or equivalent)
Professional certifications such as CAMS, CGSS, CRCM, or equivalent
Experience in large, global, matrixed organizations
Track record of leveraging technology and innovation to improve compliance effectiveness
