Responsibilities
Train with key team members in underwriting, operations and claims to learn and participate in the Berkley Edge underwriting and claims process
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support our business partners
Incorporate items learned throughout the internship into a final project
Qualification
Required
Availability to work independently, both on a remote and potential on a hybrid-based in-person schedule through the summer months
GPA of 3.0 and above required
Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Preferred
Pursuit of a bachelor's degree with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance, or a related program/field preferred
Rising Junior or Senior student is preferred
Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career-related work experience within the industry
Prior work experience is preferred
Career Interest in Underwriting or claims in Excess and Surplus Lines
