Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts
Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation
Stay current with evolving tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, and deferrals through proactive analysis
Support the internal tax team during tax season to ensure timely and accurate filing
Work closely with other tax team members to deliver high-quality tax services
Review work prepared by team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated service delivery
Assist in identifying additional services that may be appropriate based on tax analysis
Contribute to the development of firm tax policies, procedures, and internal training initiatives

Required

In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters CS, UltraTax, SurePrep, TaxCaddy, SafeSend, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of partnership, corporate, and individual taxation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation
Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis

Preferred

Active CPA license or CPA eligibility
Experience with trusts, estates, and multi-entity structures
Strong background in tax research and planning for closely held businesses
