They are seeking an Engineering/Equipment Intern to support documentation, development, and improvement of equipment and processes while assisting with procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Assist in planning and managing work with engineering and maintenance departments to ensure projects meet budgetary and timeline requirements
Support the coordination of materials and equipment with vendors, suppliers, and facilities
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to equipment procurement processes
Provide feedback and innovative ideas for the design of fixtures, tooling, processes, and equipment for internal teams and external vendors
Collaborate with Designers and Project Managers to ensure projects meet scope requirements
Demonstrate strong, proactive, and thorough communication with team members and customers
Evaluate new technologies in equipment, tooling, and software to enhance machine reliability and functionality
Provide direction, training, and support to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for machine build and procurement processes
Maintain all necessary project documentation, including detailed mechanical and electrical schematics, control system logic, manufacturing/process literature, and budgets
Develop process SOPs and training materials as needed to support process improvements
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in an Engineering program pursuing a bachelor's degree
Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively
Preferred
Working knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software a plus. Inventor experience is preferred
Manufacturing experience is a plus
