Responsibilities
Call customers regarding outstanding invoices
Email customers to verify invoices were received
Respond to customer inquiries via email and by phone
Proactively ensure up to date credit card information is on file
Troubleshoot failed payments or credit card issues with customers
Support customers in transitioning from check payment to credit card payment and ACH
Coordinate with internal teams (Sales and Client Care) to resolve billing issues
Ensure customer contact information is accurate
Maintain up-to-date records in our billing, ERP and CRM systems
Issue refunds or credits when appropriate and in alignment with policy
Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce errors and improve response time
Qualification
Required
0–3 years of experience in billing, customer support, or finance operations
Strong written communication skills and customer-first attitude
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfort making a large volume of phone calls
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
Preferred
Comfort with billing tools and CRMs is a plus (we use Chargebee, Quickbooks, & SalesForce)
Experience in a remote or fast-paced environment is a plus
Familiarity with online education or subscription-based businesses is a bonus
