Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sustainable Energy Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Optimizing tool design and manufacturing processes by reviewing vendor designs for manufacturability (DFM) specifications, developing solutions to enhance part geometry, and implementing eco-friendly tool designs that reduce cold runner waste
Working closely with product designers to recommend draft angles, parting lines, and gating locations, identify risks associated with specific part designs, and suggest alternative geometries to improve manufacturability
Addressing dimensional and cosmetic issues in molded parts by conducting design of experiments using the Scientific Injection Molding process. Utilize statistical tools to analyze data, recommend mold steel adjustments, and develop effective compensation strategies to resolve dimensional challenges
Contributing to strategic project initiatives by exploring new injection molding technologies to overcome obstacles and ensure successful execution
Running Autodesk Moldflow Analysis software to develop gating strategies, Over-molding shut off designs, and part design improvements
Performing tool design and process multi-shot and insert over-mold tools, identifying optimal parting lines and shut-off locations to facilitate efficient multi-shot over-molding operations
Analyzing and refining tool manufacturing processes to address machining and polishing challenges
