ASIC Verification Engineer, Amazon Leo Modem DV Team

Amazon is working on the Leo initiative to enhance global broadband access through a constellation of satellites. The ASIC Verification Engineer will define and implement ASIC devices for communication between satellites and customer terminals, including developing verification environments and test plans.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain pre-silicon verification environments, utilizing simulation and emulation platforms
Develop detailed verification test plans, testbenches, checks, tests and functional coverage
Be proficient in the application of verification languages and methodologies, such as System Verilog and UVM
Work with design and communication systems team to ensure our design verification is robust and exhaustive
Automate regression testing, collect coverage metrics and report progress to the program

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
1+ years of experience in verification preferably in communication systems
Implement and maintain pre-silicon verification environments, utilizing simulation and emulation platforms
Develop detailed verification test plans, testbenches, checks, tests and functional coverage
Be proficient in the application of verification languages and methodologies, such as System Verilog and UVM
Work with design and communication systems team to ensure our design verification is robust and exhaustive
Automate regression testing, collect coverage metrics and report progress to the program
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

Master's or Ph.D degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering
Familiarity with formal verification techniques
Familiarity with Matlab
Experience in developing coverage-driven verification test plans
High level of pro-activity, initiative and problem solving
Familiarity with constrained random and assertion based verification
