Licenced Physical Therapy Assistant in Washington

Talentsearchpro is seeking a Licenced Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team at Summit Pacific Medical Center. The role involves supporting treatment for a diverse caseload of patients, performing patient assessments, and collaborating with physical therapists and other staff to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Comfortable supporting treatment for a mixed caseload of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical patients
Proficient in assisting with acute care and outpatient settings under supervision of a Physical Therapist
Skilled at administering manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, instructing patients in mobility, ADLs, and use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, prostheses, etc.)
Ability to perform patient assessments, gather therapy histories, and document progress accurately
Strong knowledge of patient safety, functional mobility techniques, and body mechanics
Competence in developing and implementing patient management plans consistent with PT directives
Demonstrated skill in maintaining compliance with Washington State DOH standards, National Patient Safety Goals, and internal quality-improvement processes
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning EMR systems (Epic experience a plus)
Collaborative team player who works effectively with PTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff
Empathetic communicator with patients and families, promoting wellness and motivation throughout recovery
Organized, reliable, and self-directed, able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records
Eager to learn and grow, pursuing continuing-education and best-practice training opportunities
Expected to maintain high documentation accuracy and timely charting each shift

Required

Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
Current and unrestricted Washington State PTA license
Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Ability to assist in both acute care and outpatient settings
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques, mobility training, and patient safety practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn EMR systems (Epic)
Effective communication and teamwork skills with PTs, patients, and interdisciplinary staff
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and problem-solve independently
Commitment to high-quality, community-based patient care

Preferred

At least one year of experience in a physical therapy environment (preferred)
