Responsibilities
Lead coordination efforts between system integrators, IT teams, cybersecurity groups, and internal SMEs for ADMS implementations
Partner directly with technology vendors to resolve technical challenges and apply industry best practices
Maintain deep expertise in the product ecosystem and provide strategic guidance on future technology direction
Refine and optimize electrical distribution network models to support advanced application accuracy and performance
Participate in detailed system testing to validate alignment with electrical engineering principles and operational behavior
Drive improvements in field equipment standards and operational procedures to enable emerging capabilities
Serve as a Tier‑2 technical resource supporting control center teams on telemetry, modeling, and system performance issues
Act as a subject‑matter expert for advanced grid applications, leading investigations into SCADA, communications, protection, and application performance incidents
Travel to San Ramon up to 10%
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in the electric utility industry
Hands‑on experience with grid modeling tools such as CYMDIST, PSLF, Aspen, or similar
Preferred
5+ years of experience in utility operations (Transmission and/or Distribution)
Experience with major EMS/DMS/ADMS platforms (Schneider, GE, Siemens, Hitachi, OSI, etc.)
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and system accuracy
Clear communicator across both technical and non‑technical audiences
Proven ability to build strong partnerships, including collaboration with Director‑level leadership
Demonstrated ownership, execution, and technical depth in SCADA/ADMS environments
Experience translating functional requirements into actionable technical work items
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies
Success working in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations
Familiarity with GIS, OMS, and DMS platforms
Knowledge of distribution equipment and protection schemes
Understanding of SCADA, RTU, PMU, and communication standards (ICCP, DNP3, IEC 61850)
Experience with IEC CIM, SQL, and scripting languages (Python, C#, etc.)
Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Excel, Foundry, and Power BI
