Evening Supervisor
Maryville Academy is seeking an Evening Supervisor to assist the Program Manager in managing a residential setting. The role includes supervising staff, providing consultations, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for youth while overseeing daily activities and documentation.

Responsibilities
Supervise three or more other Transitional Counselors
Provide input into the development of treatment plans and objectives
Participate in the milieu while observing and addressing interactions of staff and youth to provide constructive feedback both verbally and in written form
Provide ongoing consultations/evaluations for Youth Care Workers and maintains programmatic files for subordinates in conjunction with the Program Manager
Assist with the orientation of program participants and staff members
Oversee the written documentation required daily for each youth, including, but not limited to record documentation, billing logs, medical logs, and specific information as requested by the Treatment Team
Lead shift transition meetings and participates in staff meetings and in-service trainings, as needed
Provide coordination of daily activities including therapy sessions, recreation, meal planning, visitations, the self-administration of medication by the youth and group interventions
Direct and encourage staff members when dealing with crisis situations
Participate in continued performance quality improvement
Perform other work related duties as assigned
Assist with the allocation of daily financial resources in accordance with the programmatic budget
Perform duties to ensure client/staff ratios are met daily
Transport clients in a Maryville van, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required in human service-related field from an accredited college or university
Two years of residential child care experience
Minimum of 25 years of age
Ability to implement the Maryville Model of Care
Ability to engage youth in a manner which encourages autonomy through the development of problem-solving skills, as well as fostering the understanding and development of new concepts and skills; most often these activities occur in a group or 1:1 context
Successful completion of initial and ongoing training requirements
Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license in compliance with the driving standards as identified on form CFS-671
Ability to drive a fifteen passenger van
Demonstrate skill in working with and managing children of the type served in the program
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing, with Maryville youth, supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, support agencies, and a variety of internal, as well as external, stakeholders
Knowledge and understanding of minority group cultures
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of basic supervision and management
Ability to learn and use computer technology
Understanding of Program Plan and licensing requirements
Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods; able to walk up and down stairs
Required to lift/move objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds
Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above
Work is performed in, and in association with, group home settings, including but not limited to schools, recreational facilities, court rooms, hospitals, correctional/detention institutions, and various community settings
Duties may involve contact with youth who may be threatening, aggressive and/or under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary
May be scheduled to work on weekends, evenings, and/or holidays
Duties include 24 hour on-call and immediate response to emergency needs of the program
Weekend availability is required
