The role involves acting as the on-site liaison with clients, managing project execution, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring projects are delivered on time and under budget.

Responsibilities
Act as the on-site liaison with the client and community
Maintain excellent client relations
Conduct field inspections
Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity
Mentor junior staff
Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
Provide design/technical expertise to project
Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
Generate additional sales through business development activities
Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
Assist with project reports and technical presentations
Attend client, staff and project meetings
Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
Maintain a safe working environment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
At least ten years' experience
10+ years of related engineering or construction management experience
Strong people and team building skills
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and other staff
Highly motivated and organized
Ability to interpret technical data and perform technical writing
Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience
