Software Engineer - Data Platform
R1 RCM is building healthcare’s first Revenue Operating System, utilizing AI to streamline hospital billing and reimbursement. The Software Engineer - Data Platform will develop and maintain services and pipelines for processing large-scale healthcare data, ensuring high performance and compliance.

Responsibilities
You’ll build and operate the services and pipelines that move data through Phare’s AI and product stack
You’ll develop reliable systems for ingesting, transforming, and serving large-scale healthcare data, ensuring high performance, observability, and compliance
You’ll own the backend interfaces that power analytics and model workloads, working across streaming, storage, and application layers to keep data flowing safely and efficiently
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of engineering experience
At least 2 years directly working on production data pipelines/platforms
Experienced in architecting and building microservices and ETL pipelines in Python, Go, or Java
Experienced building and managing infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
Strong with Spark, Airflow, or Kafka for orchestrating and streaming data flows
Adept at implementing observability and reliability practices, instrumenting pipelines with logs and metrics to detect drift, latency, and data quality issues before they impact users
Preferred
Experience with healthcare data (FHIR, HL7)
