Responsibilities

Design, execute, and contribute to cutting-edge scientific research in a laboratory setting
Develop and advise on innovative methodologies to achieve research objectives efficiently and effectively
Prepare and support the publication of research findings, ensuring high-quality contributions to scientific literature
Assist in drafting and securing grant and contract applications, supporting funding efforts for ongoing research initiatives
Mentor, coach, and lead team members, fostering a collaborative and accountable research environment
Provide insights on talent acquisition, retention, and performance management, including promotions, reviews, and salary adjustments, to support team growth and development
Cultivate strong relationships with faculty and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and research success

Qualification

Required

Ph.D., D.V.M., or equivalent in biomedical sciences, microbiology, virology, immunology, or a related field
Minimum of 3+ years of postdoctoral research experience, preferably in infectious disease or related field

Preferred

A strong publication record is highly desirable, demonstrating contributions to scientific advancements
Hands-on experience in BSL-3 and BSL-4 environments is strongly preferred, with a deep understanding of biocontainment protocols
