Supply Chain Internship
Wausau Supply Company, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Schofield, Wisconsin, is dedicated to providing top-quality building materials to authorized retailers across the United States. They are seeking a Summer Supply Chain Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting inventory planning and supply chain operations while learning from experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Learn inventory planning strategies to service demand and reduce out-of-stock issues
Support supply chain analysis and management of the Distribution Supply Model
Monitor open orders to ensure fulfillment and on-time deliveries
Communicate with distribution centers and key suppliers regarding production and shipping schedules
Contribute to performance metrics and learn how On Time & Full metrics are tracked and improved
Assist with internal item setup, product structure creation, and maintenance
Participate in procurement activities for manufacturing components
Help identify and report product and material availability issues
Join continuous improvement projects and contribute ideas
Develop analytical skills by working with supply chain data
Collaborate with various departments and participate in team meetings
Practice professional oral and written communication in a business environment
Learn to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
Uphold the values of communication excellence, politeness, honor, and integrity
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering related field
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A desire to dig in and be a doer!
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
