Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading and service areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest disturbances, trespass warnings, lost child or missing person reports, and medical calls, then notifying appropriate personnel
Monitor access points and tenant or contractor activity as assigned, help to maintain orderly foot traffic during peak shopping periods and/or special events, and provide directions and information to visitors
Document patrol activity and incidents using written reports and/or electronic systems, communicate observations to mall management and Allied Universal leadership, and follow post orders and escalation procedures
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred
