Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and documentation per site protocol
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas, as well as exterior perimeter checks to help to deter unwanted activity
Control access at designated entrances by greeting and directing visitors, confirming authorization as required, and reporting suspicious or prohibited behavior or items
Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support security-related rounds and escorts as requested
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience
Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements
Be able to work in a hospital morgue
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting
Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
