Responsibilities
The Quality Engineering & UAT Leader role involves interfacing business executive leadership teams with our client and developing UAT strategies for complex Healthcare claims processing systems
Lead and manage user acceptance testing activities across multiple business areas within the healthcare insurance/healthcare payor sector
This role involves developing test strategies, coordinating test execution, managing defects, validating functionality, and ensuring quality outcomes that align with business KPIs
Lead and mentor a team of Test analysts, ensuring accurate and timely execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) artifacts and tasks
Define and enforce UAT quality standards and governance checks to ensure regulatory compliance, which is critical in healthcare environments
Act as the primary interface between IT, product owners, and business leaders to align on test strategy and timelines
Deep knowledge of healthcare operations, including HIPAA compliance, clinical workflows, and EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271)
Mentor UAT testers and share business and system knowledge
Ensure that the final product meets business requirements by coordinating test planning, execution, defect management and validating functionality before release
Provide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as appropriate
Document a test plan, review, and validate test cases and test results per requirements
Review Product goals expressed through JIRA User Stories and ensure Acceptance Criteria to be clearly documented
Responsible for validating if UAT released product is in accordance with sprint agreements before approving for PROD release
Manage complex project testing tasks from requirements review to deployment
Develop communication to guide, influence and convince internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate across Roles and Disciplines and support System Integration Testing (QA) through audit and validation of testing work
Leverage Exploratory thinking and experience in Automation & AI tools to detect unusual behaviors or data patterns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration or information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of experience in Healthcare, Payer, Enrollment & Claims business processes, and business systems
5+ years of experience leading and delivering quality UAT, Test Strategy, Defect Management, Business Analysis, Agile Methodology, Process Improvement, Project Management, Cross-functional Leadership
Expertise in complex SQL and Excel
Strong SQL query and coding skills
Experienced in tools like JIRA, ALM, Testrail, Selenium, UFT, etc and in an Agile/Waterfall environment
Preferred
Experience in Test automation and AI tools is a plus
Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager is desirable
