Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
GD Resources LLC is seeking experienced and qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to support the Medical Service–Respiratory Section at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). The RRT will provide comprehensive respiratory care services in collaboration with Pulmonary, Emergency Room, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) teams to ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with VA standards.

Responsibilities
Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
Perform airway management and mechanical ventilation support
Administer inhaled medications and medical gases, including oxygen, bronchodilators, mucolytics, and nitric oxide
Respond to Rapid Response and emergency calls
Set up, operate, and monitor CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP systems
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and equipment
Recognize and escalate the need for medical intervention when patient safety is at risk
Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation of services rendered
Work under the direction of the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Chief of Respiratory Therapy
Comply with VA policies, infection control requirements, HIPAA, and standards of professional conduct
Qualification
Required
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Minimum of two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience
Minimum of one (1) year of critical care experience
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Current CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the State of California
