Responsibilities
Source and procure flat-rolled aluminum and ingots to meet production requirements and cost targets
Monitor and analyze aluminum market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply-demand dynamics to inform purchasing decisions
Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers; identify the need for new suppliers to maintain a resilient supply base
Negotiate pricing as required to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning teams to understand material specifications and forecast future demand
Ensure materials meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
Stay informed on industry developments, advancements in aluminum production, and sourcing best practices
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activity, cost savings, and supplier performance
Mentor and support team members to strengthen aluminum purchasing capabilities
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cross-train in direct and indirect purchasing roles to support team needs
