Planning & Logistics Analyst/Scheduler
Philip Morris International (PMI) is transforming its business to deliver a smoke-free future. The Planning & Logistics Analyst/Scheduler will be responsible for planning daily warehouse transfers, preparing schedules, auditing inventory, and ensuring service levels for finished goods.

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning daily warehouse transfers to ensure timely shipments from Distribution Centers to customers
Prepare weekly truck schedule for outside Distribution Centers and ensure inventory is evenly balanced
Responsible for auditing finished goods returns to Distribution Centers and redistribution of inventory
Accountable for finished goods service level
Prepare monthly and yearly service level reports
Responsible for finished goods inventory report
Responsible for the reporting of Daily Sales and Inventory levels
Recommend, initiate, and conduct special projects as requested
Assists with compiling, developing and monitoring the annual budget
Directly interface with both internal and external customers
Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material
Covers vacations in both the Planning and Logistics areas
Serve as coverage for Manager Planning & Scheduling as needed
Maintains frequent contact with nearly all areas of the Owensboro facility to coordinate and time activities of many unrelated areas
Ensures that the master production plans developed are based on the sales forecast
Responsible for tobacco and tobacco-free products production scheduling
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of MPS and MRP runs
Works closely with purchasing and inventory control to ensure sufficient material is on hand to meet schedules
Analyze and adjust as necessary, production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material or equipment
Balance product mix between promotional product and open stock
Manage WIP inventory to an agreed upon level
Manage finished goods inventory to an agreed upon level
Analyze inventory status daily to ensure proper inventory availability to an agreed upon service level target
Qualification
Required
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (required)
College degree preferred or equivalent experience
Desired previous experience in Planning/Scheduling in a Manufacturing environment
Adept at handling multi-faceted tasks and situations
Knowledge in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, KBI & KP reporting and Wareuse Inventory Management
Must maintain a high level of credibility and objectivity tempered with a great amount of common sense and understanding
