Certified Medical Assistant

Marietta Plastic Surgery is a distinguished group practice of cosmetic and plastic surgeons serving patients in Marietta, GA, and Woodstock, GA. They are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to provide back-office support, perform clinical tasks, and facilitate communication within the office.

Responsibilities

Update and maintain all digital client records
Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility
Assist the nurse and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming at all times

Required

High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Diploma from an accredited medical assistant program and Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA, RMA)
BLS Certification (Required)
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (Required)
Competency in basic medical assisting skills. Including, rooming patients, assisting provider with exams, answering phones, scheduling appointments and surgeries
Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Positive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure & multi-task
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Excellent customer service skills

Preferred

Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Prior experience working in a plastic surgery office or comparable medical office setting (Dermatology or Cosmetic Dentist)
Experience with medical software preferred
EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
Ambulatory surgery center: 1 year (Preferred)
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
