Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and following established notification and reporting procedures
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, and exterior perimeter, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access
Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and support staff with security-related requests such as escorts and lost and found documentation, as permitted by site policy
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity reports, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives
Qualification
Required
Be 21+ years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
