Sales Manager
The Sales Collective is hiring for a Sales Manager role with their Pittsburgh client, a company that develops and manufactures critical industrial instruments. The Sales Manager will lead both inside and outside sales teams, focusing on growth through coaching, execution, and maintaining key legacy accounts.
Responsibilities
Lead both inside and outside sales teams
Own the daily and weekly rhythm that keeps the engine running
Conduct daily huddles with the inside team to review DPIs, turnaround time, new opportunities, escalations, and orders that need attention
Conduct weekly pipeline and activity reviews with the outside sales team to keep momentum strong and visibility clear
Coach, prioritize, unblock issues, and reinforce what good looks like
Earn commission based on total sales performance, aligning success with the team you lead
Defend key legacy accounts, conducting thoughtful quarterly onsite reviews, and ensuring products continue to meet evolving requirements
Qualification
Required
Experience leading sales teams in industrial B2B environments
Technical depth to earn credibility, even if background isn't specifically in instrumentation
Experience in businesses that are growing year over year
Understanding of what it takes to sustain growth through discipline, consistency, and strong leadership
Ability to develop people and build deep product knowledge within the inside sales team
Coaching for customer experience, consultative conversations, and confident quoting
Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage key accounts thoughtfully while guiding team's day-to-day execution
Accountability-driven, values-aligned, and committed to helping others succeed
Willingness to collaborate with a trusted sales leadership training partner to sharpen management skill set
Desire to manage and lead a team
Preferred
Experience with technical sales leadership
Experience in coaching and mentoring others
Experience in conducting thoughtful quarterly onsite reviews
Experience in protecting share and ensuring products meet evolving requirements
