Compensation Analyst

QTS Data Centers is a provider of data center services, and they are seeking a Compensation Analyst to support their People Services Operations compensation function. This role involves compensation administration, reporting, and addressing ad-hoc requests and inquiries.

Responsibilities

Conducts benchmarking for new and existing jobs by reviewing the job evaluation, reviewing the market data
Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends
Reviews compensation actions in Workday. Ensures internal equity is considered and offer is consistent with job leveling
Assists with Annual and Mid-year compensation process administration in Workday
Supports Business Partners with various requests and provides consultation to assist with business needs
Track, research and resolve compensation related queries
Supports administration of existing compensation plans
Participate in salary surveys, and analyze data from survey sources to determine competitiveness
Utilizes and maintains Payfactors for survey administration, job benchmarking, and reporting

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or equivalent professional experience
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel including: pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, etc
Four or more years of experience with compensation and/or sales commissions
Proficiency in organizing, summarizing, and analyzing large data sets
Ability to create elegant, efficient, and effective compensation and financial models, budgets, reports, and presentations
Experience administering sales commission plans
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex data sets and efficiently summarize
Thrives working in a team environment of a high-growth, rapid-paced organization
Strong, effective, and tactful communication skills
Ability to manage confidential information
Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and set priorities with minimal direct supervision
Strong analytical skills, disciplined attention to detail, highly organized and thorough
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
