Senior Financial Analyst

They are seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to analyze financial performance, produce insightful reports, and support strategic financial planning initiatives.

Responsibilities
Gather, organize, and analyze financial data from multiple systems including Salesforce and QuickBooks. Perform variance analysis and identify trends to support management decision-making. Conduct complex financial modeling and scenario analysis as needed
Prepare comprehensive financial reports, management reports, and executive summaries that clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and insights. Generate regular and ad hoc reports from financial and resource management systems. Create data visualizations and presentations for senior leadership
Maintain accurate cap tables and ownership structures across the firm's entities. Track equity transactions, manage documentation, and ensure proper recording of ownership changes
Support the preparation and calculation of employee compensation including bonuses, profit sharing, and equity-based compensation. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all compensation-related calculations and reporting
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices and automation where possible. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and workflows
Become proficient in the firm's financial systems (Salesforce-based and QuickBooks). Support system updates, data integrity initiatives, and leverage system capabilities to enhance reporting and analysis
Work closely with other departments to gather financial information, support project analysis, and provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives
Support the Controller and Assistant Controller on special projects related to financial analysis, strategic planning, system implementations, and financial strategy development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or a related field required
2-5 years of progressive finance or financial analysis experience, preferably in professional services or consulting environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate findings clearly
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis tools
Experience with financial systems; Salesforce and QuickBooks experience a plus
Strong data visualization and presentation skills with ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive-level presentations and reports
Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
High degree of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial information
Preferred
CPA or CFA designation a plus but not required
