Responsibilities
Install and configure door access control systems (keycards, controllers, credentials)
Deploy and maintain IP camera and NVR systems
Troubleshoot network connectivity, PoE issues, and cabling faults on site
Support clients remotely and on-site for both physical security and network issues
Document all configurations, maintenance logs, and service tickets
Collaborate with senior techs and vendors as needed for issue resolution
Qualification
Required
Combine hands-on security system installation with your IT networking skills
Install and configure door access control systems (keycards, controllers, credentials)
Deploy and maintain IP camera and NVR systems
Troubleshoot network connectivity, PoE issues, and cabling faults on site
Support clients remotely and on-site for both physical security and network issues
Document all configurations, maintenance logs, and service tickets
Collaborate with senior techs and vendors as needed for issue resolution
Experienced in installing/servicing door access control and/or video surveillance systems
Knowledgeable in TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and PoE technologies
Comfortable working on client sites and able to travel as required
Customer-oriented with professional communication skills
Eager to learn MSP tools, processes, and new technologies
Preferred
1–3 years in IT or low-voltage/security system support or installation
Entry-level certifications (Network+, Security+, vendor-specific training) a plus
Prior MSP experience helpful but not mandatory
