Double E Group engineers and manufactures web and material handling and converting solutions for various markets. The CNC Turning Operator–Programmer will operate CNC equipment, perform setups, and collaborate with engineering to implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC equipment and perform efficient setups

Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Stop machines to remove finished pieces or to change tooling, setup, or piece placement according to machining sequences

Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules using computer network links

Continuously verify proper lubrication and cooling during machine operation

Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished piece dimensions, and numerical control sequences

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

CNC programmingMachine shop experienceBasic machining practicesMath skillsTeam-oriented

Required

Some CNC programming experience

Average math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Ability to read and comprehend instructions; simple oral communication skills

Team-oriented and reliable

Minimum of three years' machine shop experience, or one year with vocational school graduation

Lift, push, pull, and position components up to 50 lbs

Stand consistently for an entire 8 to 10-hour shift

Preferred

Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus

General mechanical knowledge also preferred
