Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analyst - CAPEX

Responsibilities
Act as the primary procurement focal for significant CAPEX projects, providing dedicated support to CAPEX project managers from inception through completion. This includes proactive engagement in project planning, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to ensure procurement activities align seamlessly with project timelines and objectives
Lead the end-to-end contracting process for CAPEX projects, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing complex procurement contracts, ensuring adherence to legal, compliance, and Bunge's internal policies
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and specifically CAPEX project managers, to define project scope, requirements, and ensure alignment of sourcing activities with business needs and technical roadmaps
Actively participate in commercial negotiations with suppliers, focusing on pricing, payment terms, warranties, and service agreements to achieve best-in-class costs and terms. This involves understanding budget models and driving financial transparency
Manage and cultivate strategic relationships with key CAPEX suppliers, evaluating their performance, and collaborating to drive innovation and improve service levels
Analyze CAPEX spending data to identify enterprise-wide contracting opportunities and develop cost optimization strategies that result in measurable improvements in cost efficiency
Contribute to process improvements within the strategic sourcing function by applying best practices and leveraging knowledge of internal or external business issues to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and inform sourcing strategies for various CAPEX categories. This includes developing preferred supplier lists and researching industry benchmarks to support optimal asset pricing and service terms
Qualification
Required
Typically a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
Requires 5 plus years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a significant focus on Capital Expenditure (CAPEX)
Exceptional contract creation, negotiation, and execution skills are paramount, particularly for complex CAPEX agreements
Possesses in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, particularly as applied to Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) procurement
Strong analytical skills for data collection, cleansing, and bid analysis
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) is required, along with a solid understanding of financial baseline development and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling
Familiarity with project management methodologies, risk mitigation strategies for supply chains, and compliance requirements is also essential
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are necessary for effective collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and especially CAPEX project managers
