Kate Spade New York is a global lifestyle brand that designs extraordinary things for everyday life. The Coordinator of Product Development supports the development process by managing sample activities, adhering to quality standards, and ensuring smooth communication with overseas partners.

Responsibilities

Support product development activities including the following: review of prototypes and samples, milestone adherence, sending of development packages to overseas partners
Partner with Materials teams to procure sampling materials for all development milestones
Execute, maintain and update necessary data and tools
Manage day-to-day communication and activities with the Asia PD team
Supports approval process and resolution of pending items to ensure smooth process from development to commercialization
Execute day-to-day activities based on priorities set by Manager and drives task completion and issue resolution
Demonstrate understanding of development process, implications when deadlines are missed, and alert manager of potential issues
Organize and maintain sample arrival and archiving
Support in research and development

Required

Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft 360, ECV or other PLM systems
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
1+ years of relevant experience in product development, including the categories of handbags and SLGs
Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multi-task
Flexibility to adapt as the business requires and to perform efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
Experience working in a global company with overseas partners
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly Excel, TEAMS, illustrator
