Responsibilities

Serving as the primary architect of the course, leading the development of leadership-focused content that meets doctoral-level expectations
Collaborating closely with a Subject Matter Expert Advisor and a Drexel faculty member to ensure the course is conceptually sound, grounded in research-to-practice coherence, and fully aligned with University academic standards and guidelines
Working closely with an assigned Instructional Designer who will provide a predetermined course template, format, and guidelines
Establishing course-level and weekly learning objectives are required in every course
Creating the detailed weekly course syllabus, including the course description exactly as it appears in the Drexel University Course Catalog
Providing a clear overview of the course purpose, structure, and key components so that future instructors have guidance on course design and instructional intent
Introducing and framing weekly overview concepts aligned with leadership development and doctoral-level expectations
Specifying course-level and weekly learning objectives that clearly identify what students should know and be able to do upon completion of the course, modules, or activities
Developing leadership-focused assignments, learning activities, and assessments, including both formative and summative evaluations, to reinforce key concepts and support research-to-practice application
Curating and gathering instructional content and required and recommended readings (e.g., scholarly articles, online resources, visuals, videos, presentations) aligned with doctoral-level rigor; all content must meet accessibility standards for students with disabilities
Designing and recording weekly course lectures and creating quizzes or knowledge checks to support learner engagement and comprehension
Collaborating closely with instructional designer to support high-quality online course delivery and the production of multimedia instructional elements
Participating in monthly meetings with other Lead Course Subject Matter Experts to support alignment, coherence, and continuous improvement across the doctoral concentration
Teach or co-teach the course during its first offering as needed
Contributing to the broader ALLIED Hub through thought leadership and resource development, including authoring one original article for the ALLIED Hub Substack, creating or contributing leadership-focused resources, and participating in at least one ALLIED Hub podcast episode
