Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) – Vibrational Durability

Responsibilities
Conduct vibrational structural durability analysis on powertrain components
Conduct time-series (time-domain) and frequency-domain (PSD) road-load durability analyses, to predict stress and fatigue life on powertrain components
Develop, run, and post-process linear and nonlinear structural analyses
Efficiently manage and execute multiple CAE analyses simultaneously to meet aggressive timing
Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams to interpret results and propose design improvements
Contribute to the development of AI / machine learning models for durability prediction, surrogate modeling, or automation of CAE workflows
Continuously improve CAE efficiency through scripting, automation, and smart use of emerging tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering required or a related field
3+ Years - Automotive durability CAE experience
3+ Years Strong experience with vibrational durability analysis
Proficiency with Abaqus and/or Nastran for structural and durability simulations
Solid understanding of Time-series and frequency-domain road-load durability methods
Familiarity with AI tools and workflows (e.g., Python-based tools, ML frameworks, or CAE automation)
Ability to think beyond traditional CAE methods and explore data-driven solutions
Smart, energetic, and proactive problem-solver
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Able to run multiple analyses in parallel without losing quality or rigor
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new methods and tools quickly
Strong ownership mindset with attention to both technical accuracy and delivery timing
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with scripting (Python preferred)
Exposure to fatigue tools (e.g., nCode or similar)
