Purchasing Manager ($110-130K)
Ultimate Staffing is a technology-driven manufacturing company specializing in advanced label printing, laser marking, and automation equipment. They are seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement function, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the purchasing and inventory management lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead the purchasing function, overseeing sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost optimization
Develop and implement procurement policies, best practices, and process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and suppliers
Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate pricing and terms, and resolve issues impacting quality, delivery, or cost
Identify and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and mitigate supply chain risk
Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle-creation, approval, tracking, and reconciliation-to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate closely with Operations, Production, and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
Monitor inventory and demand trends to prevent shortages or surplus and support production schedules
Manage, mentor, and develop members of the purchasing team
Provide guidance on procurement processes, systems, and vendor communications
Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on accuracy, service, and continuous improvement
Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to align purchasing activities with organizational needs
Support cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field
5+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience, including supplier management and negotiation responsibilities
Experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or technology products environment
Minimum 2 years of people management experience leading purchasing, supply chain, or operations teams
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing or technology environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and process improvement
Preferred
Experience with procurement or ERP software strongly preferred
Knowledge of lean principles, demand planning, or supply chain optimization strategies would be a plus
