Responsibilities

Greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments
Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
Collecting co-payments and obtaining routine financial information
Performing various clerical duties including maintaining departmental deposit logs and preparing routine schedules and reports
Ensuring positive customer service atmosphere and interactions in reception areas
Overseeing waiting area
Answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
Coordinating patient movement and reporting problems or irregularities
Completing full patient registration in IDX when registering new patients
Obtaining, verifying, and updating patient demographic and insurance information

Required

High School Graduate General Studies
Basic computer skills
Outlook, Windows-based and Google Suites based programs

Preferred

Previous medical office and/or insurance experience
