Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Administrative Assistant to join our client’s team in Mason, Ohio. This role combines hands-on accounts payable responsibilities with general administrative support, offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys numbers, organization, and being an essential part of daily office operations.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments
Maintain vendor records, W‑9 documentation, and payment information
Assist with month‑end closing, including reconciliations and reporting
Respond to vendor inquiries and follow up on outstanding bills or credits
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Greet visitors and support front desk functions as needed
Assist with scanning, filing, and organizing financial and administrative documents
Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and basic reports
Order office supplies and support general office operations
Assist management with miscellaneous administrative tasks and projects

Required

1–3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
