Information Technology Help Desk Coordinator

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices
Assist users with computer management tasks including Active Directory, GPO, SCCM, and BMC Remedy ticketing systems
Provide layer 1 support to network-related problems involving LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and network administration tools like switches and routers
Support desktop support activities such as installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals
Perform software troubleshooting for applications within Microsoft Office suite
Monitor and maintain network security protocols including firewall configurations and VPN access
Document issues and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems; analyze recurring problems to recommend improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal operation of IT systems and infrastructure
Communicate effectively with end-users to provide clear guidance on technical issues and solutions

Required

Proven experience in IT support roles with strong knowledge of help desk operations
Technical proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware components at Level 1 proficiency
Familiarity with management tools such as SCCM, GPO, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira
Knowledge of security protocols including VPNs, firewalls (Meraki), TCP/UDP protocols
Experience supporting mobile devices and operating systems in a corporate environment
Strong analysis skills to diagnose complex technical problems efficiently
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users at all levels of technical understanding
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Preferred

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional
