Office and Inventory Specialist

Bernalillo County is an organization focused on building a high quality of life for residents and communities. The Office and Inventory Specialist will perform customer service duties related to stationery ordering, mail processing, and inventory management of office supplies.

Responsibilities

Deliver completed printing products, to include stationery (business cards, letterhead, memos, forms, name plates, etc.), non-complicated flyers, brochures, handbooks, etc
Print, bind, fold and/or laminate printed materials upon request
Track printing materials and office supply levels and maintains systematic inventory databases (Mailshift, SAP, Just-in-time, Onvoy)
Orders, receives, and stores office supplies
Prepare County related mail, parcels, and packages for shipping
Receives incoming materials, supplies and equipment and verifies accuracy of shipment and will process, sort and deliver all incoming mail, parcels, and packages
Operate and troubleshoot printing and mail processing equipment
Prepare and maintain a variety of records, logs and files related to the business operation
Inspect incoming deliveries and shipments to ensure items are in acceptable condition, prior to delivery and record damages or defects; notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel of same
Prepare documents for scanning and perform quality control measures to ensure accuracy of imaging
Performs clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories; may operate a computer terminal
Ensures customer satisfaction and positive rapport with vendors
Maintains all business machines within the county
Provides professional and customer focused service to employees and promotes a helpful and professional image of the Business Center services to employees and external customers
Prioritize duties and performs accordingly and ensures urgent deliveries are handled immediately
Incumbent(s) in this classification may handle sensitive and/or confidential records, plans, documents or decisions that require maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Any one position may not include all duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent performing the essential duties listed above

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Four (4) years work experience in a central store/stockroom environment, warehouse, inventory control, office or administrative capacity or government setting with direct customer interactions
Any equivalent combination related to education and/or experience may be considered for the above requirements
Employee must successfully complete the post offer-employment medical examination and background investigation
Employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the County
Employee must have a valid New Mexico driver's license by employment date and maintain a valid NM driver's license while employed in this position
Employee must become and maintain NM Notary license while employed in this position
Employee must complete required FEMA training(s) as assigned to position
