Responsibilities
Manage the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to ensure they are functional and safe
Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental standards
Oversee space planning and organization to optimize the use of available facilities
Develop and manage the facilities management budget, ensuring cost-effective management of operations
Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs to reduce the environmental impact of the facility
Supervise a team of maintenance, custodial, and security personnel
Act as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, contractors, and local authorities
Qualification
Required
Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in facilities management or a similar role
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and health & safety regulations
Budgeting and cost management experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and solve problems effectively
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexible working on call at times as needed to meet department requirements
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience
