Software Engineer Internship
Astrion is a highly regarded provider of air and missile defense threat engineering and combat systems. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to develop analytical models and tools for missile performance and support various engineering projects.

Responsibilities
The development of analytical models and tools to characterize threat ballistic and cruise missile performance
Supporting ongoing activities in the following areas:
Six Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF) digital flight simulation data and model generation
Radio Frequency (RF) Signature models
Computer Aided Design (CAD) models
Phenomenological models for missile debris, clutter, and RF signature waking
Machine learning studies and data analysis
Generating documentation for all data and models
Interfacing with SEG management, program management, and government customers
Qualification
Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance
US citizenship is required for eligibility as per the cognizant security agency and requirements of the programs supported in this role
All candidates must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
Degrees in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics or Applied Math
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to read and write MATLAB, Python, or similar code to processes and analyze data
Experience with documentation and presentations via Microsoft office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Ability to work in small teams or groups
Ability to work independently with help as needed
