Responsibilities
Experience designing Fire Protection systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projects
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience in specification writing
Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
Coordinate with other disciplines
Develop Hydraulic calculations for sprinklers and standpipes using computer programs
Thorough knowledge of NFPA Codes
Basic knowledge of Fire Protection systems including wet, dry and specialty systems
Understands work planning and manages the design process to the available hours in the work plan
Meets with clients and work with contractors
Oversees deliverables to and from clients
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strongly motivated, well organized, shows professional initiative
Takes ownership of assignments, works both independently and as part of the project team
Qualification
Required
10-20 years of experience
An Engineering Degree
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience designing Fire Protection systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projects
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience in specification writing

Coordinate with other disciplines
