UNC Health is seeking an Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join their team in Eden, NC, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The role involves conducting follow-up visits, managing treatment interventions, and collaborating on new oncology care models to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conducting follow-up visits and surveillance for patients post-cancer treatment or with hematologic conditions
Initiating diagnostic and therapeutic interventions during chemotherapy or other treatments, and interpreting lab results
Managing acute/episodic visits and side effects, and recognizing urgent issues
Overseeing some chronic condition management
New hematology consults in collaboration with the physician
Assisting in developing a new oncology care model to enhance patient outcomes

Required

Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Rockingham
Education Requirements: Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina or eligible
Board certification
DEA
Professional Experience Requirements: Two years' experience as an APP experience in oncology or related field preferred
