Required

Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems
Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems
Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications
Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications
Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department
Engineering and provisioning encompass the installation and implementation of new servers, directories, storage systems, hardware, etc
Systems Administrator will be responsible for identifying and researching (as well as implementing) new systems
Should be able to maintain and develop installation as well as configuration processes and procedures
Operational Support refers to the ongoing day-to-day functioning of the system
System Administrators will use monitoring tools to ensure maximum up-time and respond to incidents in a timely manner
Automating repeatable tasks is a critical component and the ability of scripting
Must have the capability of recovering as well as repairing hardware and software failures
He/she should also be able to communicate with the constituents who are affected with the system failures
Many times, System Administrators fill in as the highest tier of technical support, frequently participating in 24/hr. on call rotations with the rest of the team
Maintenance is the last component within this role and medium migrations and various asset management tracking
Configure internal systems

Monitor the performance of servers, software & hardware

Good knowledge of at least one scripting language
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks
Knowledge of system security techniques
Good problem solving and communication skills is a must
Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues
Team management abilities

Preferred

Knowledge in logistics/trucking/FMSCA is preferred
