Responsibilities
Lead or support project teams to identify, scope, plan, and execute medium-sized manufacturing and engineering projects
Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders in a timely manner
Develop Project Charters and define initial project requirements aligned with business needs and customer expectations
Establish engineering project objectives, success metrics, and technical criteria to evaluate project outcomes
Monitor and control project performance to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets
Optimize resource utilization by focusing on cost control and milestone achievement
Identify project risks early and implement mitigation and contingency strategies
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
Coordinate materials, equipment, internal resources, and external contractors to support project execution
Apply established project management tools, methodologies, and best practices to achieve project and organizational goals
Direct project team members by setting priorities, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress; may include direct supervisory responsibility
Facilitate project meetings and prepare detailed status reports and documentation
Perform financial and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate savings opportunities and track project performance
Prepare reports, publish findings, and deliver presentations to communicate results and recommendations
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights that support operational and business decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience managing manufacturing or engineering projects in a production environment
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and financial controls
Experience managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience in a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience working with external vendors and contractors
Prior leadership or people-management experience
