In this key management role, you will oversee the full materials lifecycle, ensuring the right materials are sourced, purchased, stocked, and delivered to support production demands.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute materials, sourcing, and inventory strategies aligned with production schedules and customer requirements
Partner cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, and production to ensure seamless material flow and operational continuity
Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and value‑creation opportunities
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers across relevant manufacturing categories
Establish strong vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance
Lead competitive sourcing initiatives to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
Oversee inventory controls to maintain accuracy, reduce excess, and prevent shortages
Ensure proper receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes
Optimize ERP‑based planning and reporting to enhance visibility and decision‑making
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers, inventory specialists, and materials professionals
Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and safety within all material handling areas
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
Leadership experience in a manufacturing supply chain role
Hands‑on sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management experience within a manufacturing setting
Experience working for a privately held, small, or mid‑sized manufacturer
Comfortable with both strategic and tactical duties
Expertise with ERP/MRP systems and solid proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical thinking, negotiation abilities, and solution‑driven mindset
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments
