Responsibilities
Operate as a resource for Sales Officers with assigned responsibility for specific subject matter needs that may encompass any range of solutions across the Cash Management/Treasury Management, Commercial Deposits, Retail Payments, International Services and Payroll Services business units
Serve as the primary technical product expert to span all relevant channels and lines of business to engineer and articulate strategic product alternatives to “C” level executives and business owners
Assess, assemble, coordinate and lead stakeholders to function as deal teams for larger, complex payment business opportunities
Participate in individual and joint sales calls with Treasury Management Sales Officers to identify needs and establish and demonstrate TRUIST’s value proposition as part of the sale and implementation of integrated payments solutions
Interact in the sales process to cover all steps of client or prospect qualification, situation analysis, solution presentation, issue resolution, close and implementation including: technical evaluation of client’s environment or situation, product demonstration, positioning of solutions against competitor offerings, resolution of technical objections, close of technical sale, implementation support and follow-up to ensure demonstration of value proposition conveyed during the sales process
Interact regularly with Product Management to identify and consult on new product ideas, recommend creative/innovative application of existing products, share competitive intelligence, and serve as a resource for concept testing and product launch
Gather, analyze and track industry trends around assigned area of expertise. Develop and deliver formal presentations for both internal and external use based on observed trends
Serve as a subject matter expert in Treasury Management training activities
Participate in focus groups and business case development activities to determine market potential
Maintain superior level of industry knowledge and be capable of moving clients from paper to electronic offerings
Engage clients and facilitate whiteboard sessions to help with reengineer Payables and Receivables processes, driving process improvement and solution adoption
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent education and related training
5 years of financial institutional experience, including 2-3 years of experience in Treasury Management specifically on the consulting side
Consultative sales ability, able to make presentations to small and large audiences
Overall knowledge of corporate treasury operations, working capital management, domestic and international payments, collection and clearing systems, and supporting technologies
Mastery of general technology concepts and applications, including protocols for data transmission and integration of systems, security, data formats, treasury workstations, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and TMS systems
Comprehensive experience in transitioning clients from paper to electronic alternatives
Ability to quantify benefits to proposed solutions in terms of financial and business process value proposition
Ability to identify unfilled client needs and think creatively in the application of products as business solutions
Ability to work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications like XMLSpy, Postman, Swagger, OpenAPI Tools
Advanced knowledge of emerging payment types and platforms, including Real-Time Payments (RTP), Zelle, Virtual Card (V-Card), Integrated Payables, and Foreign Exchange (FX) solutions, Integrated Receivables and Lockbox
Demonstrated expertise in API integration and embedded finance, with the ability to advise clients on leveraging these technologies for enhanced payment automation and connectivity
Support the proposal writing team in RFP/RFI responses for non-standard, complex integration questions to accurately reflect product and integrations capabilities
In-depth understanding of file format industry standards, including but not limited to: International Organization for Standardization, American National Standards Institute (ANSI X12 for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)), (ISO 20022), Bank Administration Institute standards (BAI / BAI2 CAMT), SWIFT Message Types, National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), Other relevant payment and data transmission standards
