NEOGOV is looking for a detail-driven problem solver to join their team as a Departmental Analyst (Trainee). This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, conducting quality reviews, and collaborating with leaders to enhance training and standardize work practices.

Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience required
Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school
Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification
Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification
Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification
Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification
One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification
Official college transcripts must contain the college/university name and address, the degree conferred, and date granted, coursework completed, the Registrar's signature and/or seal, and must be recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
Applicants who possess a degree from a foreign college or university must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents unless the degree has been recognized by CHEA
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan
Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
This position has a FTINPRINT sub-class code and requires passing of a fingerprint-based background check per IRS Publication 1075
Preferred
Experience developing and/or conducting quality assurance functions
Experience developing and/or facilitating training
Experience supporting or leading teams and/or projects
Experience working with data analysis, reporting, and making recommendations based on data
Experience researching topics and presenting recommendations
Experience developing job aids, instruction materials, and designing/creating forms
Experience developing reports or dashboards for leadership
Experience performing analysis, identifying trends, and making recommendations
Experience working with data visualization using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Google Charts, or other tools
