Responsibilities

Ensuring proper installation and configuration of the necessary Oracle Client software and ODP.NET drivers on application servers
Creating and managing database users with appropriate privileges for the .NET applications
Optimizing database performance for queries generated by .NET applications, which may use frameworks like Entity Framework Core
Assisting developers with the deployment of .NET stored procedures or functions using tools like the Oracle Deployment Wizard for .NET
Diagnosing connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and errors that occur between the .NET application and the Oracle database
Monitor Oracle DB performance and provide tuning advice as necessary
Ensure OEM Agent is monitoring and active on all new test, QA and production environments
Provide support during stress testing, production release, and critical events as related to Oracle
Ensure all standards are in place prior to production releases
Ensure Oracle patches are applied to production environments within 60 days of vendor releases
Assist Application teams creating test conditions and results to support expected workloads
Provide any regulatory documentation necessary to meet corporate requirements
Provide support to the Grid Control organization as necessary
Assist Oracle DBA in support of GCS DB Systems
Ensure NRT DB’s in test, QA, Prod and DR environments meet all DB standards

Required

Experience with Oracle Database Administration
Knowledge of .NET applications and their interaction with Oracle databases
Experience with Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) and ODP.NET Managed Driver
Ability to ensure proper installation and configuration of Oracle Client software and ODP.NET drivers
Experience in creating and managing database users with appropriate privileges
Skills in optimizing database performance for queries generated by .NET applications
Experience assisting developers with the deployment of .NET stored procedures or functions
Ability to diagnose connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and errors between .NET applications and Oracle databases
Knowledge of traditional DBA tasks such as backup, recovery, and patching
Understanding of .NET data access architecture
Ability to monitor Oracle DB performance and provide tuning advice
Experience ensuring OEM Agent is monitoring and active on all environments
Ability to provide support during stress testing, production release, and critical events
Experience ensuring all standards are in place prior to production releases
Ability to apply Oracle patches to production environments within 60 days of vendor releases
