Accounts Payable Associate

Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) is a dynamic organization dedicated to creating positive change in the lives of children and families. The Accounts Payable Associate will manage all invoices and data related to payables for CPSFL, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and collaborating with program managers to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

Processing of all Accounts Payable invoices on a weekly basis, including but not limited to data entry, check issuance, copying, scanning, filing and mailing of payments
Ensure the timely and accurate processing and mailing of all vendor payments to avoid late payments and delinquent accounts
Understanding of basic Accounting concepts as related to job function
Work closely with program managers, and mentor in areas of check coding, descriptions, timelines and eliminating delinquencies and inefficiencies

Required

Minimum Associate's Degree in Accounting or related emphasis, in addition to 3+ years A/P experience within a high volume environment
Highly motivated, ethical, committed and hardworking
Excellent computer skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (MIP Fund Accounting a plus)
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to be an active listener and communicate information effectively; Ability to clearly communicate key financial data/concepts to non-financial personnel
Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions and detailed spreadsheets
Ability to manage people and situations as required, in a professional and productive manner
Experienced in diversified financial activities and general management combined with extensive computer knowledge
Be able to work extremely well individually with self-motivation and initiative, and as part of a team helping to set the course and make decisions
Able to use critical thinking, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems
Strong organizational and analytical skills; Ability to self-prioritize tasks and meet key organizational deadlines
Able to multitask in varying and distinct business models and environments
