Industrial Designer
Velocity is the nation’s leading builder of classic American vehicles, redefining classic car ownership. They are seeking a skilled CAD Designer responsible for developing detailed 2D and 3D models for automotive interiors and custom components, collaborating with engineers and fabricators to ensure design feasibility.

Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for custom automotive interiors, structural components, and restoration modifications
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and upholstery specialists to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Revise and optimize designs based on feedback from the engineering and production teams
Maintain an organized database of CAD files and design documentation
Work with vendors and suppliers to source materials and components that align with design specifications
Conduct fitment tests and adjustments to ensure precision in fabrication and installation
Stay updated on industry trends, CAD software advancements, and best practices in automotive restoration design
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360
Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical design, industrial design, or a related field preferred
Experience in automotive design, restoration, or fabrication is highly desirable
